Getting Started with Apple Intelligence

  • Enable Apple Intelligence: If you're using iOS 18.3 or later, Apple Intelligence is on by default. For earlier versions, go to Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri, then tap Get Apple Intelligence to activate it. This process might take a few minutes as your device downloads the necessary data and updates.
  • Check Compatibility: Ensure your device is compatible. Apple Intelligence is available on:If your device isn't listed, you won't be able to use Apple Intelligence features. However, Apple is continually expanding compatibility, so keep an eye on future updates.

Writing Tools

  • Proofreading: Apple Intelligence can check your grammar, spelling, and punctuation in real-time across various apps like Notes, Mail, and Messages. Here's how to use it:
    • Type your text in any text field.
    • Apple Intelligence will automatically suggest corrections. You can accept or ignore these suggestions.
    • For more detailed feedback, tap on the Proofread button (if available) to get a comprehensive review of your text.
  • Summarizing: When you have a long piece of text, Apple Intelligence can summarize it for you:
    • In Notes, select the text you want to summarize.

  • Summarize Notifications: Apple Intelligence can condense multiple notifications into a brief summary:
    • Go to Settings > Notifications > Apple Intelligence.
    • Enable Summarize Notifications.

  • Reduce Interruptions: Use the new Reduce Interruptions Focus mode to filter out less important notifications:

    • Open the Photos app.
